Review: Batiste Dry Shampoo

Washing your hair everyday is apparently not advisable coz it strips essential oils from your hair and causes hair thinning in the long run. But if you don’t wash your hair daily, and if you’re like me, your scalp gets oily and you look somewhat dirty.I simply don’t feel comfortable or even presentable if I have oily hair. So the best thing to do, is to use dry shampoo!

Dry shampoo is basically a shampoo that’s in a spray or powder form that you can use on your hair without adding water and it claims to give you the freshly washed hair look. I put this to the test by trying out the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I chose the original scent coz I bought it online so I wasn’t adventurous enough to try other scents. But turns out, it somehow smells like.. mosquito repellent to me haha.

BUT despite the smell, does it really work? YES! Definitely. I kinda expected it to work coz Batiste is the most well known dry shampoo and I’ve heard good things bout it.

The way I use this dry shampoo :

1. Right after my hair’s freshly washed and blow dried, I spray this in sections of my hair to prolong the freshness. This spray also adds volume to my hair so thats a plus.

2. On the second day before I head out without washing my hair, I spray some of this on and blow dry my hair coz this spray leaves a white residue upon spraying and by blow drying the white stuff will disappear.

I can go only one day without washing my hair coz my scalp is really oily and I get super uncomfortable even with the dry shampoo. So if you have normal scalp, this dry shampoo will really let you go daysssss without washing your hair and that only means one thing. The road to healthy hair!
