I’ve been a fan of Urban Decay eyeshadows after trying out their Naked 2 palette years back. It’s one of the best quality shadows I own and although dramatic eye looks aren’t exactly my forte, I use the palette quite a bit and hit pan on some shades. Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when I saw Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette’s photos circulating online because it is so gor-gi-na from the packaging to the colors.
So when I got the invite to have lunch with Urban Decay and to be a part of their Naked Smoky palette event, I shrieked a little and didnt hesitate. Best decision I’ve made coz I had the most amazing time with some of the most amazing girls I’ve met!

Basically we saw a live demonstration of the palette by a renown makeup artist Kf Bong while digesting tips and tricks on creating the best smoky eye look. I love smokey eyes but I can never recreate a smokey eye look without looking like a dead person haha. Needless to say, more practice is all I need.
And I couldnt believe my luck when Urban Decay gave me THE palette to take home along with other goodies from their fall collection. I kept myself calm and collected but deep inside I was freakinnnnnnn out! Damn excited okay. haha
Anyway, I thought I’d share with you some close ups of the stuff I got after trying them out a couple times. Introducing Urban Decay Fall Collection 2015:
Do I even have to discuss the packaging you guys? It’s downright majestic and beautiful I can stare at it all day. Compared to the other Naked palettes, this one is plastic and magnetic. It’s very sturdy and I think there’s no issues to take it with you on a trip plus it also has a double ended brush in the palette that assists you in packing and blending the shadows.
It comes with 12 gorgeous shades, mixture of metallic and mattes. The quality of these are on point and the color pay off is insane. I suggest that you go to the nearest Sephora and swatch them to understand the hype that goes around on this palette. I absolutely love it.
- Eye Shadow Primer Potion (Original)
I’ve never really used eye shadow primer before coz I dont do dramatic looks with a ton of shadows but this comes in super handy to complement the Naked palette. I’ve tried it a couple times and I notice that it makes it easier for my shadows to be applied to my lids and the pigmentation of the colors stay on the lids a little longer than usual. I mean that’s what primers are supposed to do so that means this works! haha This isn’t a new product but it came in the package so I thought I’d share.
- Brow Beater Micro Fine Brow Pencil
I was super stoked to see this coz it looks like a complete dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz! I hands down loved Anastasia’s Brow Wiz but you cant get it here in Malaysia so a dupe is definitely what we need! Anyway, I’ve been using this ever since and I loveee it. The fact that it’s automated and comes with a spoolie already got two thumbs up from me. But I love that the pencil part is so tiny and it makes it so easy to draw a precised tail for my brows with it. If you’re in the market for a brow pencil, please go check this one out.
- Brow Tamer Tinted Brow Gel
I can never do my brows without a brow gel to seal the deal. I find that no matter what brand of brow pencil or brow powder I use, they never seem to last all day unless I set it with a brow gel. And Urban Decay came out with this gem that goes so well with their Brow Beater pencil.
This is a tinted brow gel so even though you dont feel like filling your brows in with a pencil or powder prior to this, you’ll still get a decent tamed and fuller looking brows with this and ofcourse, it keeps your brows exactly the way you want it to be till the end of the day.
- Matte Revolution Lipstick, Menace
Their matte revolution lipstick got me all giddy when I saw it! One swatch on the hand and you get a full on opaque color. I got the shade Menace and it’s a hot pink shade that it’s a little out of my comfort zone but its so damn pretty that I dont mind stepping out of the zone with it haha.
I tested this out the other day and find that the formula isn’t drying whatsoever and it’s so easy to apply too. It goes on smooth and all you need is one layer and you get the exact color as what you see on the tube with no layering necessary. There’s no strong unbearable scent to it either and it stays on the lips for quite a decent amount of time but you need to reapply it after eating just coz the color is so bright and it’s a little obvious when it’s smeared. All in all this is definitely a good lipstick for a matte formula!
I’m incredibly impressed with all the products, not even one of them was a let down! If you guys wanna check these out, you can head on over to any Sephora 🙂
Thank you so much to Urban Decay Malaysia team for inviting me and gave me such a pleasant time and also for the beautiful products! And thank you guys for reading! xx
