Hellllllo everybody. Incase you didnt know, MISSHA (which is one of the popular Korean Beauty brands) made its way into Malaysia and they now have a store in Sunway Pyramid. I was invited for the opening a couple months back and I picked some stuff to try out from them.
Since I’ve been contented with my skincare routine, I opted to try their makeup line instead. Been playing around with these products long enough to tell you what I think so lets go!
- Radiance Foundation shade #23, RM95
Missha has a ton of choices when it comes to complexion products, I was overwhelmed but I ended up choosing this foundation because it applied so nicely at the back of my hand compared to the rest and the shade match wasn’t far off although it’s not my exact shade. The sad thing with most Korean makeup products is that the shades are very limited but we all know this already and I am always the darkest. This foundation comes in 3 shades and I chose the darkest one #23.
First off, this foundation has a scent that you will definitely notice when you apply it onto your face. Smells some sort of like baby powder but ofcourse, it goes away after a while. In terms of consistency, its a little thick but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It applies easily with both a brush or a sponge and you’ll definitely have enough time to work with it coz it doesnt dry up too fast on the face or whatever.
- Bare skin : I’ve a bit of a breakout (from a product I’m trying :O) as you can see and it’s perfect to test out the coverage this foundation provides
- Only one layer of foundation and most of the redness is covered
- To spot conceal, I used the liquid concealer
- After setting with a bit of setting powder
The coverage is medium to full and this foundation is definitely buildable so you can always go in with a second layer if you want to but I stick with only one layer coz I prefer to conceal areas that the foundation did not cover.
The finish is a teeny bit dewy on its own but can be matte when set with a matte finishing powder and with a little bit of MAC Fix + Spray, it looks beautiful and fresh on the skin, nothing flat. It lasts all day without getting too dry/oily on my normal skin. I like this foundation and I have nothing bad to say about it except for the limitation of shade choices. If you can find your shade and you’re looking for a Korean foundation to try out, you can definitely go for this one.
- Closing Cover Liquid Concealer shade #23, RM45
I am very picky with my concealers because I have tried many and I know what I want in a concealer. This one comes in only 2 shades and I chose the darker one coz it’s what suits me best. The undertone of this concealer is a little bit orange-y so it doesn’t really match my skin and the consistency is just a little too liquid-y to be used on my undereye area coz it creases even after setting with powder.
Although the shade is a bit off, I can make it work on my face area to cover up scars. After setting with powder, everything blends in nicely in terms of color. The coverage is amazing and I just need a teeny bit to cover up any discoloration. For the price, I think you definitely get a bang for your buck coz the tube is huge and a little goes a long way. Head on over to the store and swatch it for yourself for shade match because if you can find your perfect shade with this, you might like it if you’re a liquid concealer kinda person.
So this is my face done using the Missha Radiance Foundation & Closing Cover Liquid Concealer. I sprayed Fix+ too hence the extra glowy finish 🙂
So yeah guys. Those are my thoughts on the two makeup products from Missha that I picked up. Missha has an extremely wide variety of skincare line, a ton of makeup products and their sheet masks are awesome too. You can visit their store at LG1.39, Sunway Pyramid!
