Review: Althea Korea’ Petal Velvet Powder

Hi! I’m hereee to give you a review of a very affordable Korean Face Powder by Althea Korea that I’ve tried out! I personally always struggle to find the perfect face powder for my skin because I think that a face powder can make or break my makeup look. Some powders tend to make my foundation super cakey, which I hate :/

Anyway, Althea Korea sent me this product a couple of weeks ago and I finally can share my thoughts with you. It is Althea‘s first exclusive product, so let me start by telling you what it is.

Althea’s very own product range is here, and we’re starting off strong with the Petal Velvet Powder! This debuting beauty is a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves behind a silky finish to the touch. Infused with oil from Althea seeds, this powder works to keep sebum production at bay without drying out the skin for a radiant, fresh look, all while giving out a gentle scent. Keep your makeup looking great all day or dust some on to stay shine-free!

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESLet me just say, I love the cute pink packaging. It’s fairly small (3g) compared to my other loose powders so it’s ideal to bring around for touch ups.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESYes, you can touch up with this although it is a loose powder because it comes with a puff that you can use on the go. It has a slight scent to it which is okay for me.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESThis powder is incredibly fine and it makes your makeup really smooth when you lightly set it with this. It feels soooo light on the skin and pretty comfortable too. As for oil control, I still get oily but that is after around 5 hours of applying it.

When applied lightly, the powder takes away shine but does not make your skin look flat.

For those with slightly problematic skin like me, good news is that this powder is non comedogenic which means that it will not clog your pores yayyyy.

Now let’s get to the best part of this powder, which is the price. Believe it or not, this powder is only RM16! Yes gurl you got that right. I think that’s a steal really because I have tried similar powders to this one and they are priced really high but works the same.

So all in all, what I’m saying is that if you like using loose translucent powder to set your makeup, you can definitely try this out 🙂 Thank you for reading guys! xx
