REVIEW: SK-II Facial Treatment Essence saved my skin

Hi guys, in light of recent events, my skin has been insane due to stress which affected my hormones. I was suffering from a major outbreak of acne that lasted for almost 3 months. I finally went to the dermatologist to fix my skin and was put on acne topical medication which dries my skin out. So apart from having acne, my skin was also dehydrated. Yay me. When SK-II approached me last month and provided me with a bottle of their Facial Treatment Essence, it was a blessing to say the least 😊 I’ve used the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence before and you can read my previous reviews on it HERE: and HERE: .

IMG_6487.largeMany have asked me Does the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence work? Although it isn’t my first time using the Facial Treatment Essence, it has been a while and I was hopeful to see how it will help my skin this time around when it’s at its worst. So this time, my review can also cater to those who are suffering with acne. I know for sure that the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence does not irritate my skin so I started using it immediately. It has been a month now and I’m ready to share my thoughts with you. For reference, I have oily combination acne prone skin.

  • My experience with SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

IMG_6488.largeIf you’ve never tried it before, the Facial Treatment Essence has the consistency of water and you might doubt the efficiency of it because of that. But let me tell you, this water-like product hydrates my skin more than other thicker serums that I’ve tried. It’s the best of both worlds because you get a product that is light enough which sinks in right away into the skin and you get the highest level of hydration an essence would give.

  • How to use SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence

Morning: Cleanse > Acne topical solution > SK-II Facial Treatment Essence > Moisturizer > SPF

Night: Cleanse > SK-II Facial Treatment Essence > Acne cream > Moisturizer

  • Before and After

IMG_6486.largeDoes the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence really work? After using it religiously twice a day for a month, I have seen the biggest difference on my skin in terms of hydration and brightness. I forgot how much I love this product until now. Like I mentioned, the consistency of this essence is very light and it sinks in right away but it does not just sink in into nothing. It leaves my skin so glowy and luminous despite being on drying acne topical solutions. Upon application, my skin feels and looks hydrated and my mind is blown every time I use it because I can see the difference instantly.

1I honestly feel that this essence brightened my skin because the hyperpigmentation that I have from the acne is significantly lightened in just a month. Usually, it takes longer than that for me. Aside from that, I’m also free of random dry patches across my face. My skin is now evenly hydrated and also less oily throughout the day. Is this magic or whattt?

So the hype is real with this SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. It literally transformed my skin in such a short time, so I can only imagine how my skin will look after I’ve used the last drop of it. My skin was so bad when I first started this bottle and 1 month  later, it is on its way to recovery and this Facial Treatment Essence is playing a big part in it! I am committed now okay. We all know that SK-II Facial Treatment Essence comes with a hefty price tag but it is a worthy investment in my opinion because of all the amazing things it has done to my skin that other products cannot do.

Good thing that it comes in 3 sizes – RM239 for 75ml, RM529 for 160ml and RM715 for 230ml, so you can choose, or you could try the PITERA™ Welcome Set for RM260 that comes with a 75ml Facial Treatment Essence, R.N.A. Power Cream and Clear Lotion for you to try and if you do, I hope it works for you as well as it is working for me! Thank you for reading guys xx

Grieving for my brother.

Monday, 12 March 2018. 3 weeks since he left.

It hit me last night. After a week of thinking that I was getting better. No tears for a week, that’s progress right? But no I’m right back to where I started. I called mom in the midst of my outburst at 1AM and she said that writing is a form of therapy. So here I am trying it as much as I hate exposing my true feelings.

Grief is truly painful. I guess grief is the price you pay for loving someone so much. Some days I feel alright, like I can continue living my life as normal as I know how to. But some days I feel lost, so down that nobody can pick me back up. I can’t predict when I’m gonna break down and that terrifies me.

I miss my brother. I miss him being just a phone call away. I miss complaining bout meaningless stuff to him and the advises that he would give. I miss his voice. I can still hear it in my head and I’m afraid that I will forget one day. I miss the sense of comfort he gives. I miss sitting around with him and exchanging looks when my parents say something absurd. I miss bursting into laughter with him when they say something funny.

He was a part of me. A part of me that I love and I’ve lost. Having to live my remaining years in this dunia without him, I’m sad for the future.

Grief is selfish because grief is me being sad for myself. Grief is me being sad that he’s no longer here which is wrong because I know he is in a better place with Allah swt. But I am only human. I only feel sadness, no resentment.

My brother, my best friend forever. My heart is aching but I pray and recite doa for you every single day.

Till then, Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
Al fatihah to my brother, Sheikh Kharleez Bamadhaj bin Jaffar.
I miss and love you then, now and forever.
